SPECIFICATIONS:

The Filter
Polypropylene materials are used for the filter chamber, basket, piping and base. The powder coated cover uses EPDM packing and seals. Eyebolts are stainless steel with plastic handwheels. Absorptive capacity of the media is 1:8-12. One (1) pound of media will absorb approximately one gallon of oil or grease, resulting in a much longer lifetime of the cleaning solution. Bypass is prevented by means of an 0-ring seal on the center post at the bottom of the filter chamber.

Optional Slurry Tank
The optional slurry tank is all polypropylene, sized to hold the full liquid capacity of the filter chamber. Slurry tanks offer these advantages:
-Reduce the risk of running the pump dry
-Facilitate the make-up and addition of chemicals to the treatment tank
-Provide for transfer of solution to make the changing of media easier

Pumps
V-Series systems are provided with SS vertical or CRS — PP centrifugal pump with 1 HP motor being standard.

Piping
V-Series systems utilize all polypropylene piping and fittings with ball and diaphragm valves.

Media
Hydrophobic meltdown polypropylene media having best oil absorbing characteristics along with large surface area. Mefiag’s oil absorbing media is available in 1, 2, 2.5 or 5 lb. bags for easy change out.
